Government Relations: 
  • Ongoing representation before Congress and regulatory bodies in the following areas:
  1. Manufacturing: Includes issues such as international trade, energy policy, environmental regulations, and tax policy.
  2. Environment  & Natural ResourcesActivities include representation before regulatory agencies, educating Congress and the public about specific client activities and remedial plans, and developing community support for client goals.
  3. Department of Defense Procurement:  Includes issues such as representation before the Department of Defense on manufacturing and acquisition issues, working with Congress and the Department of Defense on procurement policy changes, and securing funds for innovative private sector projects.
  • Ongoing representation of a client with industry trade associations.
  • General monitoring of legislative and regulatory issues with the potential to affect a client’s business and bottom line.
  • Strategic counsel regarding the client’s political action committee (PAC).
Public Affairs:
  • Developing public affairs plans and environmental communication plans that address all relevant stakeholders, including ongoing oversight of public affairs professionals during the implementation of a public affairs plan.
  • Carefully coordinating a public affairs plan with the client’s legal, regulatory, and legislative strategies.
  • Media relations and risk communications training sessions as needed.
Trade Associations: 
  • Ongoing counsel on legislative and regulatory issues affecting the association’s membership, including regular public policy updates to the membership and in-person updates at membership meetings.
  • Coordinate Washington, DC “fly ins” for the association’s members to educate policymakers on the industry and its top legislative and regulatory concerns.
  • Strategic counsel regarding an association’s PAC.
